memorial weekend

like i said in an earlier blog, we went to tabiona, utah for memorial with brandon's family. here are some of the family during the shooting contest. i think tasha (brandon's cousin) beat everyone who went up against her.

brandon was going through the snow...and SURPRISE!!, he got stuck. i had to go help pull him out. not fun! and then he says, "i got stuck there before!" uh, okay, you thought this time you were special and weren't going to get stuck?!?!?

the weather finally cleared up a little on monday and we saw lots of blue sky. it was still a little chilly on top of the mountain. brandon was tour guide since he has been there so many times:)

a little lake where the wildlife drink. brandon said it usually dries up by mid-summer.

we got so much rain that saturday so everything was really wet and muddy. it was miserable. that night, we ended up going to bed early without a campfire:( i was saddy.

brandon and tasha had to ride through the big puddles! brandon did his best to stay dry...but tasha did not. she likes to be the muddiest one on the ride.

this is my favorite part on the way up/down tabby mountain. i love the trees lining both sides of the road. i'm sure it's really beatiful in the fall.

as we were riding back the first night the fog was setting. it was beautiful to see.

the weather was a lot better on sunday so, we were able to sit around the campfire and make s'mores. for me, that's the best part of camping.
